About Sylvia D. Reid, Esq. 2023

It is with great pleasure that I announce the welcomed addition to my office in Hartford of the legal and administrative services of attorney Sylvia D. Reid. She will be overseeing the management of my many appraisal,
investment and real estate services with professionalism and expertise. She had previously worked as an apprentice appraiser a few years ago with me, but soon determined she was best suited to provide her services
as an attorney and servant of God (Gottesdiener).

Attorney Reid has degrees from Goucher College, Towson, MD and U-Conn School of Law and The United Embassy of Chaplains along withcertifications from various construction trade organizations including lead and asbestos removal. She also has certifications from various religiousorganizations in biblical studies. She serves with the East Hartford Community Emergency Response Team and is endowed with the patience to help people. She was previously licensed as a real estate and insurance agent in Connecticut.

Attorney Reid is an ordained minister, community activist and has her bachelors degree as a pastoral chaplain. She is the volunteer executive director of Gateway To Life, Inc. a non-profit organization that focuses on domestic violence, elder abuse and bullying prevention. She teaches piano and voice lessons to youth and was a part time instructor with The Artists Collective in Hartford. She is an award-winning script writer and has written and produced her own music that can be found on various musical platforms throughout the internet. She produces and acts in short films and enjoys directing and producing short films with a message which can be found on YouTube.

Sylvia is happily married to Arthur L. Chappell who is not only a home improvement contractor and home builder, but also serves as a deacon at their local church in Hartford where Sylvia is a minister and church musician. She has four grown children and NO grandchildren, in turn, she has informally adapted a grandson from one of her clients she served through Gateway To Life.

She brings a wealth of real estate knowledge and information to my office and I am proud to have her on my team.
